STUDENT POLICIES

  • ABSENCES & MAKE UP POLICIES
  • STUDENT CANCELLATIONS

 

        1. If students give 24 hours advanced notice of an absence they are eligible to attend our group make up class held on the first Saturday of every month at the Summerhays location from 12:00-1:00.
        2. If students give at least 7 days advanced notice of an absence they are eligible for a private make up lesson with their teacher when the teacher’s schedule permits.
        3. If students give less that 24 hours notice of an absence, or they do not show up for lessons, they are not eligible for a make up lesson.
        4. Tuition is not refunded or prorated for missed lessons.
        5. Students must always let the front desk staff know of an absence or it will not be recorded.

 

  • TEACHER CANCELLATIONS

 

        1. If a teacher is unable to teach, and they give sufficient notice, BIMEC will do their best to find a substitute to replace the teacher until they return.  Students will not be refunded tuition or granted make up lessons if they do not want a substitute unless they give the proper notification (above).
        2. If a teacher does not give enough notice of their absence and BIMEC cannot find a substitute, students will be scheduled for a private make up lesson when their teacher’s schedule permits.  
        3. If a teacher does not show up for a lesson the student will not be charged for that lesson as well as be granted a free lesson and the option to switch teachers if they desire to do so.  

 

  • STUDIO POLICIES
  • WAITING AREA

 

        1. No food or drink (besides water) is allowed in the waiting area or studios in order to keep pests away.
        2. A small selection of toys and movies are available for children.  Parents are responsible to monitor their children and clean up any messes they make.  
        3. Children are not to be left for the front desk to tend.
        4. If mothers bring babies they should always change diapers in the restroom.  If mothers are nursing, they are welcome to stay in the waiting area and do so as long as they are covered up.  

 

  • THEORY LAB

 

        1. Theory lab computers are only for the use of enrolled students.  
        2. Absolutely no food or drink is allowed near the computers.

 

  • RETAIL STORE

 

        1. Parents are responsible to monitor their children and make sure they do not venture into the retail store unattended.  
        2. Any merchandise that is damaged by children must be paid for by their parents.
        3. Retail merchandise cannot enter the studios until it is paid for.

 

  • LESSON OBSERVATION

 

        1. Parent observation in the lessons is encouraged, especially if the students are younger.  

 

  • If parents are observing their child’s lesson, they should leave other children in the waiting area if they have someone else to watch them, or leave them at home.

        1. The front desk staff and the teachers will not release any personal contact information for the teachers to anyone.  If you need to contact your teacher, your options are to call or email the school and leave a message for them and the front desk staff will make sure it gets to the teacher.

 

  • TUITION POLICIES
  • TRADITIONAL STUDENTS (LESSON TIME 2:00-7:00)

 

        1. Tuition Rates
          1. 30 minute private = $85.00/month
            1. $5 discount for multiple students (down to $75.00/month)
          2. 45 minute private = $110.00/month
          3. 60 minute private = $135.00/month
          4. 45 minute duo = $70.00/month per student
          5. 45 minute group (3+) = $55.00/month per student
            1. $5 discount for family group (must be immediate family)
          6. Registration fee = $25.00 per student or $50.00 per family (one time fee)

 

  • EARLY BIRD STUDENTS (LESSON TIME 10:00-2:00)

 

        1. Tuition Rates
          1. 30 minute private = $70.00/month
            1. $5 discount for multiple students (down to $65.00/month)
          2. 45 minute private = $85.00/month
          3. 60 minute private = $1000.00/month
          4. 45 minute duo = $60.00/month per student
          5. 45 minute group (3+) = $55.00/month
          6. Registration fee = $25.00 per student or $50.00 per family (one time fee)

 

  • HARMONY HOMESCHOOL STUDENTS

 

        1. Harmony Policies
          1. Verification of Harmony enrollment must coincide with Harmony approved list.
          2. Lesson times are first come first serve.
          3. In order to qualify for the Harmony Homeschool rates, students must be enrolled in lessons between 10:00 and 2:00 – no exceptions.
          4. Tuition is a flat rate each month no matter how many lessons the students receive.
          5. BIMEC is not semester based, so Harmony students must abide by the withdrawal policy below in order to properly cancel lessons or the early bird tuition rate will be charged.  

 

  • TUITION DUE DATES

 

        1. Tuition is due on the 30th of every month for the upcoming month. Students have the option of automatic payments, or paying with cash, check, or card.  BIMEC requires a credit card on file even if the student does not request automatic payments.  
        2. If students are not enrolled for automatic payments, tuition must be paid by the 7th of the month or a $10 late fee will be added to the balance. If tuition is not paid by the 7th, lessons will be put on hold until the balance is paid.  BIMEC has the right to remove students from the schedule, as well as charge the credit card on file for the first two weeks of the month if students stop showing up, and do not pay the balance owed.  
        3. If students refuse to leave a credit card on file, and tuition is not paid by the 30th, they will be removed from the schedule until their balance is paid. BIMEC will not guarantee that the student’s lesson time will be available once their balance is paid.  

 

  • TUITION IS NON-REFUNDABLE
  • If a student withdraws in the middle of the month, tuition will not be refunded (see withdrawal policy below).
  • Tuition is a flat rate per month.
  • Tuition is not prorated for student absences (see absences policy).

        1. Students must let the front desk staff know they are withdrawing by the last day of the month or tuition for the next month will be charged and not refunded.

 

  • TUITION

 

      1. Tuition will not be refunded if a student cancels before the end of the month, however, if proper notice of withdrawal is given, tuition for the next month may be prorated if students are continuing into the next month but unable to receive all 4 lessons.
